My father Sam Salz and Marc Chagall in the early sixties at Chagall's home in the South of France. My father had a gallery In Cologne, Germany in the twenties where he showed and sold Chagall's paintings. One of the them was titled "Birthday" which is now in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
