A wall in my former studio where I painted for thirty seven years. I called this "The Wall of Fame". It featured photos of paintings, composers, musicians, actors and comedians. Some of them were: Giulietta Massina(La Strada), Cezanne, Thelonious Monk, El Greco, Samuel Beckett(obituary), Moondog, Jack Benny, a Fayoum portrait, the planet Saturn, "The Honeymooners", Matisse, Buster Keaton, Bob Dylan, Morandi, Morton Feldman, Charlie Chaplin, Malevitch, John Waters, Fra Angelico, Monet's palette, Anton Webern, Captain Beefheart, a baby shoe, and a toy blue rhinoceros. All these images kept me painting over the years. Every studio should also have it's own toy blue rhinocerous. Please click on the photo to enlarge it.
